What is ketamine?

Ketamine is an anesthetic drug that is classified as a psychedelic due to its euphoric, dissociative, and hallucinogenic properties. Ketamine has been used for decades as an anesthetic, but has shown more recent promise treating certain psychiatric conditions. Only certain forms of ketamine have received FDA approval including the intranasal form Spravato (esketamine).  

Noma Therapy offers ketamine as a compounded Rapid Dissolve Tablet (RDT). While compounded medications have been used for years for a variety of reasons, it is important to understand that compounded medications are NOT FDA approved meaning the FDA has not evaluated the safety, effectiveness, or quality prior to marketing.
